Case Study: Website to iPhone

KAJ ISIS LIMITED

Using an ECIF voucher worth £3000 GBP, West Midlands based web development company KAJ ISIS LTD used the Serious Games Institute Mobile Apps Lab to develop an iPhone application that could bridge the communication gap between their websites and remote users who use iPhones.

Managing Director Keith Jones explains "we have always tried to utilise new technological innovations in our product and service provision and saw another opportunity with the iPhone. We have been using SMS alert facilities for several years now for communicating from website to mobile phone but the iPhone offers more facilities to the user in terms of calendars, notes, GPS location, etc. Our new Mobile App allows the user to synchronise updated data between the website and the iPhone, without the need to login to the site and update the various facilities on the phone"

KAJ ISIS LIMITEDThe Mobile Application development was led by SGI's Matt Knowles who reported "KAJ ISIS Limited's development makes use of all the usual features that are standard in a iPhone (or other Smart Phone). They came to us with a specification and after several consulations we derived an effective way forward. The development is great example of collaboration between commercial company and application developer".

Keith Jones concludes "We now have an effective add-on to our product portfolio and have interest from several clients who want to extend their current web platform. This collaboration has been very beneficial to us".
